About PTSD Canada

Post Traumatic Syndrome Disorder (PTSD) is a serious condition that can develop after a person has experienced or witnessed a traumatic or terrifying event in which serious physical harm occurred or was threatened.

PTSD is a lasting consequence of traumatic ordeals that cause intense fear, helplessness, or horror, such as a sexual or physical assault, the unexpected death of a loved one, an accident, war, or natural disaster. Families of victims can also develop PTSD, as can emergency personnel and rescue workers, first responders, journalists to name a few.

PTSD Canada is a community of individuals, families and supporters living with PTSD.

Our mission is to create a community space and dialogue platform to reach out to individuals living with PTSD, to seek and share support with families providing care for love ones living with PTSD and ultimately to advocate for all affected by PTSD.

Here on our community page, you would find, connect and meet others living with PTSD. You will find share with other community members current resources, innovative PTSD care options, significant PTSD news and developments that affect community members and engagement in legislative and community actions that are all geared in assisting and supporting members.
